Heavenly Father, thank you for granting to me every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus. I claim the riches in Christ Jesus over my life today. I bring the blood of Christ once more over my spirit, soul, and body, over my heart, mind and will. I put on the full armor of God – the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel, helmet of salvation; I take up the shield of faith and sword of the Spirit, and I choose to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of your might, to pray at all times in the Spirit. In Jesus name, amen.
Jesus, thank you for your angels. I summon them in the name of Jesus Christ and instruct them to destroy all that is raised against me and against my family, to establish your Kingdom over us, to guard us day and night. I ask you to send forth your Spirit to raise up prayer and intercession for me and my household. I now call forth the kingdom of God throughout my home, my family, my household, my kingdom and domain in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving all glory and honor and thanks to him. In Jesus’ name, amen.
God, please accept my worship.
Let my song be lifted high.
When I focus on what’s difficult in my life,
help me remember the times
you’ve renewed my strength and joy,
carried me when I couldn’t walk.
When my foundation felt unstable
You were always my solid rock.
Increase my understanding,
in the darkness let it be my light.
Give me the same breath to sing in the valley
that I breathe when I sing the heights.
One hot summer’s day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. “Just the thing to quench my thirst,” quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: “I am sure they are sour.”
Deuteronomy 1:8 “Look, I am giving all this land to you! Go in and occupy it, for it is the land the Lord swore to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to all their descendants.”
The fox missed out on the grapes because he gave up. I encourage you this week not to give up. Do not allow struggles and challenges in life to keep you from serving and following God. How desperate are you for the things of God?
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
KEEP ASKING! KEEP SEEKING! KEEP KNOCKING!
Heavenly Father, I pray that a spirit of boldness and determination will arise in each of us today. I pray that every challenge we face will be used as an opportunity for Your power and glory to be revealed. I pray that spiritual eyes and ears will be open to the fact that we are not alone. You will never leave us or forsake us, and you will cause us to triumph. Loving Father, I pray for those who might feel like giving up. I ask that You will encourage and strengthen them as only You can, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
The Bible says, “For it is by grace you have been saved. . .not by works, so that no one can boast”
No other world religion offers such a message. Others say, “You do this, and God will give you that.” Christ’s kingdom is just the opposite. A kingdom where membership is granted, not purchased! You are placed into God’s kingdom! He gives you, not justice, but mercy!
From The Applause of Heaven
At church this past Sunday the song “One Thing Remains” by Jesus Culture was played. I had never heard this song before, but as we sang it and the music became softer, and the voices louder, but oh so soft, I was moved by the lyrics. As the lyrics state “It overwhelms and satisfies my soul” that God’s love for me, and for you, never fails, never gives up and never runs out. No matter what we do, no matter how many times we stray, God’s love is there.
Heavenly Father, I come into your presence so aware of my human frailty and yet overwhelmed by your love for me. I thank you that there is nothing that I might walk through where your love cannot reach me. If I climb the highest mountain or find myself in the darkest valley of my life, you are there. I pray that today you come into my heart and teach me to love you more. Help me to rest in that love that asks nothing more than the simple trusting heart of a child. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
“One Thing Remains” by Jesus Culture
Higher than the mountains that I face
Stronger than the power of the grave
Constant in the trial and the change
One thing… Remains (repeat)
On and on and on and on it goes
It overwhelms and satisfies my soul
And I never, ever, have to be afraid
One thing remains
Your love never fails, never gives up
Never runs out on me (3x)
In death, In life, I’m confident and
covered by the power of Your great love
My debt is paid, there’s nothing that can
separate my heart from Your great love
At the end of the longer version , while the band is playing, singer Chris Quilala, starts praising God in his own words:
“Your love never fails me
Your grace never fails me
Your grace never fails
His love never fails
His presence never fails
His mercy never fails
Your kindness is never-ending
Your grace is never-ending
Your faithfulness is never-ending
Your love is never-ending
God’s Word tells us plainly that we are never alone. He is always there to deliver, comfort and heal us. But too many times we encounter painful losses in our life, and we lose sight of this simple truth.
Satan wants you to believe you are alone. He wants you to believe that no one understands how you feel, but his claims are false. In addition to God being with you, many believers understand what you are experiencing mentally and emotionally.
You are not alone now nor will you ever be, no matter what confronts you.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
Father, please watch over those in times of duress; protect and give strength to those who feel that they cannot cope with the daily stresses of people who seek to put them down or harm them. Guide them to Your embrace and let them feel Your love, that they may feel confidence where before they felt lost; that they might feel brave and supported, rather than alone. Let them come into Your embrace, and be protected by You, that they may be able to cope with whatever life throws at them. God, protect all those who need your guidance and let them be filled with your strength and power to face the days ahead of them, and show them that they are always in Your heart and Your hands. In Your name we pray, amen.
