My Time With Grandma

Grandma’s sit up and take notice, Phil A. Smouse has taken a few major stories from the bible and has rewritten them in a way that you and your little grand-kids will find entertaining and enjoyable.  The beautiful illustrations by Ela Jarzabek are so bright and vibrant that they will truly bring a young ones imagination alive.

My wife and I  read the book and fell in love with it.  My wife then sat down for story time with our 2yr old grandson and he loved every minute of it.  His eyes told the story as they lit up with every turn of the page to reveal another story and beautiful picture.

Each story is told in a 2 page spread with a Love Note from grandma on one page and a Love Note from God on the other.  I thought these notes were perfect tidbits to make the stories and the time spent together reading them more personal and special.

The following notes are the ones you’ll find at the end of God Is Our Father (Genesis 1:1-27)

Love Note from Grandma
God made the sun and the moon. He made
the earth and the stars. He made the plants
and the animals and every good thing. But
God knew something was missing. So he
made the most wonderful thing of all. Do you
know what it is? That’s right—he made you!

Love Note from God
You are God’s child.
Galatians 4:7

My grandson Lincoln gives this book a 5 out of 5 stars, and I have to agree.  This book should find itself on every little ones bookshelf as well as every grandma’s.
