3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
The story of the lost sheep shows God’s grace to those which have strayed and his great joy in finding them. Even though our past may be tarnished, we are very valuable in God’s eyes. This value is shown in the symbolism of the sheep. That the owner would drop everything, leave the rest of his flock to go look for one that is lost shows even more how valuable we are to the one who owns us.
In the past I got into relationships and situations where someone tried to lessen my value, but it’s a device used by Satan to try to get me to deny my real value. I am a child of the Most High; I can’t get any more valuable than that! So today I am not telling myself that I am valuable because I say so, I’m telling myself, I am VALUABLE BECAUSE GOD SAY’S SO!
See yourself as God sees you, You are Valuable.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for seeing me as Valuable, Worthy, Precious in Your sight. I will no longer look for love in all the wrong places, but I already have all the love and attention I need from You. Thank you Lord, for Jesus Your son who died for me, I see my value Lord. Help me to show others through You, how valuable they are too. Thank you Lord, In Jesus Name Amen.
